As a trusted, very experienced celebrity content strategist, journalist and writer, I’ve spoken to everyone from J. Lo to Jay Leno, and to so many of my musical heroes. Therefore, I’m comfortable asking almost any question, and I meticulously prepare for my interviews, because live interviews can be, well, unpredictable.
When it comes to celebrity interviews, as a celebrity journalist, I don’t think I’ve ever had a “bad” one and trust me, things can get pretty challenging when you’re one of 40 journalists at a celebrity red carpet. Everyone wants to talk to the hottest celebs, and navigating your way through voracious paparazzi in pursuit of an interview is not for the faint of heart.
I always ask my subjects not only about the latest, great in their careers, but how they’re feeling, how they’re taking care of themselves, and what tips they have for the rest of us normal people who’d like to be in their celebrity (designer) shoes!
